Videos!

In my, almost two, years of unicycling I've seen many videos which have made me interested in many types of unicycling. I know what your thinking, there is only one type of uni-ing. "Circus people are the only ones who ride, right?" Wrong! there are many different aspects to the sport of unicycling.

There is long distance racing in which you have a big diameter tire, such as a 36" wheel

Races where you have a regulation size 24" wheel, these can be speed racing or slow, wheel walking, or one footed.

Muni, which is mountain biking on a unicycle, and yes we can go over the same terrain that mountain bikes can.

Trials, where you try to get over obstacles ranging in heights, size, shape, and distance from each other.

Freestyle, which is basically ice skating type moves but on a unicycle. http://youtube.com/watch?v=ax8s40p6bRI&feature=related

Flatland, which consists of performing tricks and using the uni in ways other than what is "normal" it is basically the same as flatland on a bmx bike. http://youtube.com/watch?v=A4SLVS0pAFg

And finally,

Street, which is using urban areas to do stunts like jumping staircases, grinding rails, and pretty much using everything as your playground.

I never knew how cabable you are on a unicycle. I would never think you can do moutain rides and stuff that is amazing! Have you ever went on a trail ride with your unicycle?

It seems like so much work. Your legs are the only brakes, there's no freewheel, and without suspension the north shore style riding must be brutal. They must have prostates made of steel!Little jumps are one thing, but four foot drops?
